Andy Grammer Continues to Bring Positive Vibes with New Album Naive Celeb Secrets

Publish date: 2024-06-04

“If it’s stupid to see the good in everything, then yeah call me naive,” said Andy Grammer to a sea of friends, family, and music industry executives at a private show in New York City on Wednesday (July 24).

Grammer packed out SubCulture in the East Village to preview songs off his fourth studio album titled Naive, which is out now. Performing five songs off the new record, the pop singer proved that the music was truly worth the wait, as each track offered a variety of musical arrangements that range from raw stripped down productions to pop anthems.

“I was thinking about my first gig in NYC when I got here today and it was a crappy gig at Pianos,” he began. “To be here today with all these incredible musicians and people who help me get here, it just means the world. I’m being so sincere and its awesome to be here.”

Following with a full band and chorus for his set, Grammer kicked things off with his soulful pop tracks “Some Girl” and “I Found You,” which both were inspired by his wife. Andy continued to tell personal stories behind some of his favorite songs off Naive, including what he hopes people continue to take away from his smash hit “Don’t Give Up On Me.” Andy ended the night with “My Own Hero” and title track “Naive,” which both continue to spread Grammer’s ongoing theme positivity in his music.

“I have been labeled the positive guy for my entire career. The truth is that I am. But the positive guy is way more three-dimensional than the world gives him credit for. Unfortunately, the word positive comes with the after taste of – simple, sweet, and NAIVE. To me, optimism is a full on war that’s fought everyday. It’s hard to stay positive when so much around us is negative. The word positive to me feels way more rebellious, persistent, heroic. This album digs into the story behind the smile. If it’s stupid to see the good in everything, then lord help me please, to be NAIVE,” said Andy Grammer.

A month ago, Andy announced North American headlining tour ‘Don’t Give Up On Me.’ The tour will begin on September 2 in San Diego, CA and wraps on November 1 in Boston, MA. See full tour routing below. Tickets went on sale Friday, June 14 and are available today at www.andygrammer.com.
