Baddie Winkle in a nude bodysuit with a jeweled cane at the VMAs: the best?
This is Baddie Winkle. She is an 88(!) year-old lady whom I didn’t know by name until last night, but whose photos I recognize from Facebook. (I know, I need to get on Instagram and get with the times. I’m old, but look at Baddie, that is no excuse.) Baddie’s Instagram is a thing of wonder. She advocates for marijuana legalization, she dresses in the most colorful and revealing clothing, she does not GAF and she just looks like she’s having a good time in every photo. She also has 2.2 million followers. I need more of this lady in my life. Also, this may be reminiscent of Britney’s 2000 VMAs look but I think Baddie makes it unique.

Here’s a video of Baddie being escorted by Evan Rose Katz, a writer and style editor. How do I get this gig next year?

Everyone else can just go home now but we have a couple stragglers from last night. Here’s Dascha Polanco of Orange is The New Black, who was posing way too hard for someone wearing bedazzled jeans with a one shoulder silk top and a giant lace and silk side train. This outfit was by a designer named Yuna Yang, and it seems to incorporate a lot of trends which died about 15 years ago. At least Dascha has a sense of humor about her look, judging from her Instagram captions, if not her expressions.
Poor JoJo was phoning it in in mismatched lace. JustJared IDs the pants as Erika Cavallini but there’s no word on that shirt. It’s like she picked out two lace pieces from her closet and no one had the nerve to tell her that they don’t go together. At least this isn’t yet another crap jumpsuit but I’m not on board with this. I like JoJo as a person/artist though and am glad she’s back. Something else nice: her styling is really pretty.
Also, look at JoJo in 2004. Adorable!
