Lou Gramm Drops Out Of Foreigners Double Vision: Then & Now Tour With Health Issues

ROCHESTER, NY (CelebrityAccess) — Lou Gramm, frontman of the classic rock band Foreigner, has been hospitalized and will be forced to bow out of the band’s upcoming ‘Foreigner Double Vision: Then & Now’ tour, as well as some scheduled dates with the band Asia.

In a statement released on Monday, the band said that Gramm was hospitalized in Rochester last week, suffering from severe respiratory infection, dehydration and fatigue. At a subsequent checkup, his doctor advised him against touring.

“I’m very disappointed about not being able to perform at the FOREIGNER Double Vision: Then & Now shows for all the fans. My doctor insists if I pushed myself to perform, I would be in big trouble. So doctor’s orders, I ride the bench. Rock on,” Gramm said in a statement released via social media.

“We will all miss Lou at our upcoming shows and we join all his family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery,” added Foreigner’s Mick Jones.

The tour kicks off on October 3rd at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT and marks the 41st anniversary of Foreigner’s smash hit 1978 album “Double Vision.”
